Virtual Offices – Frequently Asked Questions

 

Can I use this address to register my business with Companies House and HMRC?Yes you can!

All of our virtual office packages allow you to use Pera Business Park’s address to register your business with HMRC and Companies House.

This also includes use of our address as a director’s correspondence address on Companies House.

Where Option 1 differs from Options 2 and 3 is that Option 1 doesn’t include mail handling services, so we won’t accept letters received from senders other than Companies House or HMRC.
How do virtual office agreements work?Our virtual office contracts last for 12 months with a minimum term of one month.

After the initial month, a rolling month’s notice period will come into effect.

To put it simply, you can terminate your agreement at any point after the first month by giving us one month’s notice.
What are the steps to getting a virtual office agreement?We can set up your agreement in five simple steps.

Step 1 - Submit a few personal details and photo IDs for yourself and any other business owners using our online form.

Step 2 - Verify your ID by having a short video call with a member of our team.

Step 3 - Set up your direct debit using our online platform.

Step 4 - Review and sign your virtual office agreement electronically.

Step 5 - Settle your first invoice manually or wait until your first direct debit clears.

Then you're free to start using our services.
What information do you need from me?Names, emails and telephone numbers for you and any other business owners,

Date of births for you and any other business owners,

Home addresses for you and any other business owners,

Your position in the business,

A form of photo ID for you and any other business owners,

The virtual office package you are interested in,

The date you would like to your agreement to start (please allow 4 - 5 working days for us to process your agreement and collect payment),

Where you heard about us,

If you’re planning on signing on behalf of a company but aren’t a director or owner we’ll also ask you for a Letter of Authority, signed off by a director. We’ll provide you with a blank template if this is the case.
Will my personal data be safe?All the information that you provide to us in the course of your application will be stored securely on cloud-based servers.

Your information will only be accessible by Pera Business Park employees and only those who need to see it in order to progress your application.

Any employees with access to your information know not to disclose confidential information for any reasons other than those outlined in our Data Protection Policy.

Devices and servers are all password protected and set up to prevent unauthorised access.

How soon can I get started?When you choose a preferred start date please allow four to five working days to give us time to process your application and collect payment.

As soon as we’ve received all the information we need from you we can typically send your agreement out to you in one or two working days.

It then takes around three working days for the direct debit to collect payment.

If you would like your agreement to start sooner, please let us know and we can arrange an alternative payment method for your first invoice.
How do I collect my post?You’ll be able to access your lockable post box Monday to Friday between the hours of 09:00 to 17:00.

Our post boxes are located on the ground floor of the Tower Building in the corridor to the right of the main stairs.

If you’re unsure, feel free to ask our receptionists on the front desk and they’ll be happy to point you in the right direction.
What do I do if I lose my post box key?If you lose your post box key, just let one of our receptionists know and they’ll order a new key for you.

Please note that ordering replacement keys will incur a small charge.
How do I cancel a virtual office agreement?To terminate your agreement simply send an email to receptionmm@pera.com.

We’ll send an email back confirming acceptance of your notice and issue a final invoice.

When we’ve received your last payment and your month’s notice period is over, your contract will be cancelled.

Can I register more than one business?You can register as many businesses as you need to.

As long as they are also owned by you - any additional businesses you register with us will receive a 25% discount off our usual price.
